Closing down Rygge airport

Ryanair confirmed in a press conference on June 2,  in Oslo their previously announced decision to reduce the flight program at Rygge airport south of Oslo, following the Norwegian government decision to apply a new seat tax on all flights at Norwegian airports.

Due to the significant reduction in volumes at RYG, the airport owner RSL board of directors decided that the airport will be closed down as from  November 1, 2016.

This will obviously affect Aviator branch at RYG and Aviator management has initiated a process with the staff unions to evaluate the consequences.
