For us, sustainability is not just a commitment. It is how we operate every day. From aircraft turnarounds to office operations, we are embedding a sustainability mindset into every action to reduce our environmental footprint and support responsible growth across all regions we serve.

By 2030, we aim to achieve carbon neutrality in our operations (Scope 1 & 2), powered by renewable energy, efficient technologies, and smarter, data-driven decisions.

We are building a culture where sustainability means action: measurable progress, shared responsibility and long-term value for our people, our partners and the planet.

How do we deliver it?

Renewable Energy

Equipment is transitioned to renewable energy sources, including electricity and HVO100, to reduce direct emissions.

Verified Data Framework

A unified ESG data system is being implemented to support transparent and accurate collection, verification and reporting of ESG data.

Employee Awareness

Training and tools equip employees to include sustainability in daily decisions.

Neutralize Residual Emissions

Remaining emissions are addressed through high-quality, independently verified carbon removals.

Why us

Sustainable fleet

In 2024, we invested NOK 91 million in electric ground support equipment in Norway, supporting the continued electrification of our fleet. Technical and infrastructure development remain, but we prioritise the highest-utilization units first and work with airports to expand charging to accelerate electrification.

We have been performing green turnarounds since 2021, when we completed our first all-electric turnaround for Ryanair and Norwegian at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. In, we completed the first all-electric turnaround for Lufthansa at Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport. Today, green turnarounds are becoming part of our day-to-day operations.

We see HVO100 as a strong and reliable complement to electric ground support equipment. In 2025, 54% of our fleet operated on HVO100, a fossil-free fuel that reduces CO₂e emissions by 80–90% and supports our transition toward lower-emission operations.

Aviator has joined Swedavia AB latest Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) procurement, investing in SAF to reduce emissions from business travel. Through this initiative, Aviator Sweden has reduced approximately 50% of emissions from its business travel in 2025

As part of our biodiversity efforts and resource-use effort, we have shifted menus toward plant-based choices, strengthened local sourcing and increased organic options to more than 40% of products. Food waste is down 7% toward a 10% reduction target and we also use recyclable or compostable packaging.

In 2025, we expanded our partnership with EcoOnline across all countries, enhancing inventory control, risk assessment and environmental impact tracking.

Making our stations green

Climate action is clear and measurable in our strategy. Our ambition is to be carbon neutral in operations by 2030, and in 2025 we took several decisive steps forward

  • Our electric GSE fleet increased to 62% across the group.
  • From December 1, 2025, all three Aviator stations in Sweden (ARN, GOT and MMX) operate fully fossil free, powered by 100% renewable electricity and renewable fuel (HVO100).
  • In Copenhagen, the transition to 100% renewable electricity has contributed to a 60% reduction in operational emissions on site.
  • In Helsinki, the shift to renewable electricity was completed in Q4, with significant emission reductions expected in the coming year.
  • Bardufoss, Bergen, and Tromsø switched to 100% renewable electricity in 2024.

The Mashimoni Children Centre

Our commitment to sustainability also includes social responsibility and ethical engagement beyond our own operations. Since 2016, Aviator has proudly supported the Mashimoni Children Center in Kenya, helping to provide education, resources, and opportunities for children in need.

Mashimoni donation

At the Ground Handling International Conference in Barcelona in 2024 and again in Amsterdam in 2025, we replaced traditional giveaways with a donation to support classroom construction and Mashimoni’s mission to nurture young minds.

In 2023, our contributions included covering school fees for 59 children and four university students, organizing a memorable trip to an amusement park and helping secure a self-sufficient water supply for the center. Aviator remains dedicated to supporting growth and hope for the Mashimoni community.
